It's perfect!
I am loving my humidor. It's cool they did the collar with Boveda to ensure the best humidity environment for the cigars. This humidor has lots of storage shelves which helps keep everything organized. The design and quality are excellent. This is my 3rd Newair and I absolutely love them all!

Definitely needs to be seasoned. Poor customer service
I purchase the brand new 500 Count Boveda humidor and called customer service for help. We got disconnected and no call back even though I registered the product and they had my callback info. Every ad I saw and even in the owners manual that came with the humidor said "no seasoning necessary" the humidor is NOT ready to go as the manual and advertising stated. When I called the customer service rep said you DO have to wipe the shelves down with distilled water and season the humidor. I'm an avid cigar smoker and know the importance of seasoning. I knew it was too good to be true. I waited for months for this to come out and disappointed in the overall product and advertising.

I am sorry for the confusion on this. Our agent was mistaken, as this was new product for us and a new requirement they were not fully up to speed on the fact that these units indeed do not need to be seasoned. This was based on testing with both Newair and Boveda. I hope you are enjoying the unit as we have gotten great feedback for many owners of this unit. Good humidor but has it's quirks
Great humidor but needs work. Overall finish of wood is rough. Pegs are super tight. Newair says 3x 60g Boveda packs work but Boveda's website & Newair's manual suggests 5x 320g packs. Solid 4/5 stars

Innovative Ideas
All and all it's a solid unit. Some interesting ideas, some that needed a little more development. It has a very good seal and it holds temp well. I can fit AT LEAST 500 cigars in this thing. Happy overall.

Well Made Humidor
This unit has thoughtful spots for the Boveda humidification to easily fit below each shelf. The shelf design does limit stacking in the middle of the shelves but the humidor is spacious.

As asked by others prior to me, will this unit heat up? My house is about 60 degrees all years long. So to maintain a 68-70 degree environment the unit would need a heating feature as well. So does this have a heating feature to maintain 69 degrees?

If the ambient temperature is much higher or lower than the recommended temperature, it may affect the unit's performance and cause the interior temperature to fluctuate. Just purchased this unit last week, and I'm having an issue with the temperature. I have the temperature set to 65f, but it seems like ONLY the second shelf is getting cooled. All the other part of the unit stays around 68-69. As a result, I'm getting a lot of humidity fluctuation. I have a fully calibrated hygrometer on each shelf/drawer. Please advise.
