Easy to use, makes ice fast!
Really enjoy this ice maker. The ability to alter the thickness to speed up how fast it makes ice is a nice touch. It is easy to use and the ice really comes out quite clear. One thing to note is that the ice does seems to not break apart when it drops into the bin. Not big deal, just need something handy to break it apart before scooping it out.

Sheets of ice was not what I was looking for.
It makes ice but they come out in sheets. You have to break them apart with a hammer to fit into you drink. I am highly disappointed I paid this much money for something I hate.

Terrible instructions included in this unit that does not perform as advertised. Ice cubes are created in sheets of ice that are not easily broken apart for use. Truly disappointed. This is my second ice maker from New Air and am not a satisfied customer with this unit.

Maybe I'm Doing Something Wrong?
I got the new product in the mail and it came with a tiny rust mark, nothing major but noticeable. Turned it on and while it's alittle confusing at first you get used to it fast. Let the water cycle made the ice and noticed it came through the metal unit in blocks. Did it 4 more times and noticed it's still comes in chunks. I have to chop the ice to get cubes.. maybe it's on my end but every time I've had to chop the ice that's kind of annoying… but overall is makes clear nice ice and I love that. Big flavor difference in the drink believe it or not.

I use this ice maker every day and I never run out of ice, it's the so awesome I just wish I could find the gallon jug that can fit on top not sure what style fits it. I run out of water every few days. I do the max +6 square ice cubes

Perfect Addition to our Cigar Lounge!!!
At Zeal Cigar's retail, we got this item to add ice for our customers who want to cool their drinks in the hot AZ sun. We could not be happier with how well this ice maker simply just produces ice. When cleaning this unit are there removable filters that need to be taken out and cleaned? There is a plastic piece where the ice comes out and where you put the water in that is removable and there seems to be a filter inside there that is not easily removable and I'm not sure if I should be trying to get that out to clean it. Some of the older models have videos that show it being removed but this newer model doesn't. I dont see anything in the manual about a filter either. I've only had this unit 6 months and absolutely LOVE it but its making a very loud noise at times and I'm wondering if the filter needs to be cleaned. I only use Poland Springs water in it. Thanks for your help!

I bought this machine but do I have to drain the water everytime ? Seems that I need to drain the water from the reservoir or it will spill all over my countertop. Also in the bottom of the ice bucket water just sits there ? Do I need to drain that ?

How wet (liquid on the cubes) is the ice in the storage bin? I know "wetness" is a very relative term because ice always melts at room temperature. Most countertop ice makers neither cool the dispensing bin nor freeze much below 32 F (0 C). Consequently, the ice constantly melts with the cubes covered in liquid. Since most of the energy consumed deals with change of state (liquid/solid & solid/liquid), the melting ice doesn't lose much energy, but it makes the ice difficult to store.
