I bought this in about a week. Cleaned it seasoned it, plugged it in. The humidity has been around 80-90% ever since! I only had 10-20 cigars in, a boveda 69% pack, and thats it! BROKE AFTER 4 YEARS OF USAGE
THE FRIDGE TEMP STUCK AT 99 DEGREES. CALLED THE SUPPORT AND PARTS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. RUINED THE CIGARS BUT ONLY OFFERED 25% OFF FOR THE NEW OVERPRICED FRIDGE. NO THANKS. BUYING WHYNTER.

This is my first cigar fridge As I am still new to the world of cigars. I find this fridge to be just the perfect thing to store your cigars long term. It was easy to set up and get started. I highly recommend. The precision humidity and temperature controls are easy to read.

last new air product I buy
I have the older model and it went bad after a few years. the temperature sored up to 99 degrees and cooked everything inside (thousands of dollars of cigars). customer service took over 10 days to respond then when I didn't immediately respond (over the holidays) said they were closing the case. once I got in contact they asked me for some info such as model, pictures of the back, inside the back cover. they confirmed the unit was dead and said its no longer made, we cant help you. best they could offer was 30% off me purchasing a new unit. I spent a lot of money on this unit and its such a let down that they don't stand behind their products better. if your looking to make a sizeable investment to keep and maintain your cigars new air is not the company to do it with.

Will never buy from NewAir again
This is the newer model of humidor than the one I bought. I purchased it 4 years ago and it just quit working last week. To start off with, it was great. Then it started randomly skyrocketing in temperature well over 100 degrees, essentially baking my cigars. They agree it was fried but won't do anything other than offer me a discount on a whole brand new unit.

Perfect Humidor for getting started collecting cigars

Good product but it definitely does NOT fit 250 count. I have another humidor from another company that smells amazing once you open the door and you are hit with that cedar smell which unfortunately I don't get with this product. Not a dealbreaker, but just a preference. Having said that it's still good but I'm not wowed

The Gold Standard
Newair thermoelectric cigar humidors are the gold standard in keeping your cigars temperature controlled and in pristine smoking condition. I live in the sunny SoCal, and where I live is typically warm. It's not uncommon for it to be in the 90s throughout the year and 110+ in the summers. So, having a temperature controlled humidor keeps my mind at ease and I don't have to worry about my prized sticks baking in the heat. This was quick to set up, quick to season, and it's been working like a charm. It holds temperature and the RH well. It looks fantastic in any room of my home and runs fairly quiet. If I had a say in future development of these, here are the 3 things I'd change: 1) I recommend getting yourself another hygrometer or two. I found the built in hygrometer to read a little higher than most. But if you seasoned the cedar properly, and you're using a proper sized humidifying pack, you won't have to worry about it. 2) I would love the option to buy this with more drawers. While the shelves work just fine, drawers would be awesome to have as I have a lot loose cigars and one of my fears is one of them rolling off the shelf and hitting the floor. 3) The lighting works, but not very well. It's not very bright and gets blocked by the shelves and drawers easily. It would be nice to have strips of lights on the sides for each row so that way you can see what's in them from the front to the back. Overall though, I'm very very pleased with this and would not hesitate getting another one!

How do you get rid of the plastic smell in the humidor

- Verified Reply - AlaiThank you for contacting Newair. To remove the Factory Odor, kindly wash the interior of the humidor with mild detergent and warm water. Make sure to not get the wood wet. Leave the door open and allow it to air dry thoroughly. If a “plastic” smell persists, place a dish of baking soda in the unit or stuff the humidor with newspapers overnight. So I have the newair 250 count humidor and I Plugged it in and seasoned it, but with the 69% boveda it will not hold humidity past 63%. I'm not sure what I should do at this point as 63% is way to low for my cigars.
