Just received and installed the AWR-1600. It's great looking, temps work great and it's quiet as heck....a very good thing. BUT, the shelves are cheap looking and the distance between them is too small....the only bottles that will fit are cab bottles. Anything thicker, like chardonnay or pinot bo...

BEAUTIFUL WINE FRIDGE
This wine fridge is absolutely STUNNING. Opening it out of the packaging you can feel the quality of it, especially with the wooden shelf inserts. Love that it is dual zone to keep my reds and whites at the right temperature. It screams luxury at a great price! Would highly recommend!

Beautiful & Functional Solution

Very disappointed does not function as advertised
Cooler has two sections for cooling. Top section performs as advertised, cooking to 50 degrees. Bottom section will not cool to lower than 59-60 degrees well higher than advertised and Warner than recommended for red wine. The warranty folks could not diagnose and actually provided a new unit. That was great until I experienced the same problem and bottom cooling zone would not cool to better than 59-60 degrees. Warranty folks have gone silent on me. Secondarily, the shelving is too close between levels. Bottles between shelves scrape. I have to hold shelf on higher level up when inserting or removing a bottle. Not worth the few hundred dollars you will save over higher quality units.

Best Value and Great Product
You can spend over $5k for a wine fridge this size but you won't find this level of quality at a great price. I've had this product for 5 years and 3 moves and it has always worked great!

Unit does a good job of holding temp for red and white wine's in separate zones.

Bought the 160 btl unit for Pinot btls and the extra space
We bought this cooler for our Mtn. home to store wine for family occasions. We had read the reviews on how the shelves were fairly tight and that the larger bottles had issues with scraping the labels, so we decided on the 160 bottle size knowing we would reduce the capacity by removing some shelves for Pinot bottles and other larger bottles. Plus we wanted the extra room to space out the bottles. At first we could not figure out how to remove the shelves but we called Newair CS and they were very helpful. They were quick to send us the information on how to remove the shelves. Note, the picture they sent looks like you need to push in a button on the shelf slide, but you actually need to push down a small metal lever next to the button that releases the shelf. Nonetheless, once we figured it out it was very easy to do. The delivery service reminded us to wait a few hours before plugging in the unit to let the cooling fluid settle, and we also noticed it says that in the manual, not sure if that makes a difference but we let ours rest for a few days. Once we did start it up it cooled quickly even though we had 20 - 30 bottles in it when we turned it on. The unit looks good, appears to be good quality, and it seems to be very quiet though we have it our laundry room so I am not sure we have paid much attention to noise aspect of the unit. So far we are very happy with the cooler.

Great Compact Wine Refrigerator
We love this refrigerator. We went from a built in wine cellar to this refrigerator when we moved. It has definitely done the job for us. We love that you can each shelf hold 6 bottles neck to neck and has the dual zones for white and red. We would definitely purchase this unit again .

Stylish, quiet and a good value
I have owned my Newair 27" for almost 2 years. It has been reliable and looks great as a built in unit. It is extremely quiet, which was one of my top requirements in finding a wine refrigerator. The cost of the unit was reasonable and has been a good value for the price. I would recommend this unit.

Hello, we just recently bought the 160 bottle capacity size wine fridge, and am very happy with it overall, but have a question about how many bottles it can actually hold. I was able to squeeze 7 of the 750ml bottles onto each shelf, but with 15 shelves that only equals 105 bottles. Like I said, we're happy with it, but I am curious about where the other 55 bottles would go. Thanks!

what is the small clear plastic container for? its the size of a cup.

To use it properly simply place any amount of distilled water in the container and place it inside the unit where it is not in the way. This will prevent the corks from drying out. Hello NewAir, The temperature control panel area has become VERY dim (our NewAir 160 bottle fridge still functions GREAT, temperatures are fine, etc.). How can we get the displays to become illuminated and bright again? Only if our room is completely dark, can you read what the temperature numbers say.
